Should I trash the dress after the wedding?

Should I trash the dress after the wedding?

Do I really have to trash my dress, just to get some “trash the dress” photos after the wedding?

Many of my wedding photography packages include a “Trash the Dress” session and many brides ask themselves, “should I trash my wedding dress?” I know the your wedding dress is very special to you and the thought of permanently destroying your wedding dress is just not gonna happen! Well, I am here to share with you that you do not have to destroy your wedding dress to get beautiful trash the dress photographs.

Megan and Jeff’s wedding was beautiful ceremony. You may remember their engagement photos I took of them in a beautiful sunflower field. So it was only fitting after the wedding that Meg would want some beautiful “trash the dress photos”.

Megan was like so many of my brides. She wanted beautiful trash the dress pictures without actually destroying the dress. Fortunately, she has a great passion for horse riding and we incorporated her photo session into the trash the dress concept.

It was a beautiful fall day and the leaves were just as crisp and crunchy as they look on these pictures. Fortunately the weather was cooperative and meg wasn’t too chilly for her trash the dress session.

As you can see that at David James Photography we can deliver you beautiful “trash the dress” photographs without trashing the dress. I know that for some many brides the thought of actually destroying your dress is just out of the question and I completely understand your reservations. But what I like to do is to create a wedding photo project that will ultimately give you the best of both worlds. I’ll admit there is some fun to be had while truly trashing a wedding dress, but creatively it is just as challenging and rewarding to deliver beautiful wedding photographs and an “intact wedding dress”
